Use A Soft Toothbrush
We would like you to use a soft toothbrush. A soft toothbrush is ideal for cleaning the tooth surface and the rim or the margin of a dental implant which is even with the gum tissue.
Do Not Use An Electric Toothbrush
We don’t want to use an electric toothbrush! An electric toothbrush with its rotary brush is very caustic or hard on the tooth surface and transmits a vibration down to the dental implant.
Do Not Use A Sonic Toothbrush
An electric brush that is a Sonic Toothbrush provides cleaning by ultrasound and can cause damage to the dental implant as well. The bone cells can be disturbed by the sonic vibration. A Soft Toothbrush Is The Best Way To Maintain Your Dental Implants.
Wishing you all the best of dental health – Dr. Slavin.
