As 2023 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year in review.

With all that has happened over the past couple years, 2023 has truly represented a return to normalcy and new normalcy for everyone. With that return, I personally have enjoyed reuniting with so many of you, my patients- catching up on your lives and working together to optimize your dental treatment planning.

In other exciting news, 2023 represented me achieving re-certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, for an unprecedented 4th time in my career. This rigorous re-certification process, which involves a comprehensive written exam covering all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, is the most prestigious form of credentialing in the United States. Combined with my status as one of only a handful of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, this renewed board certification status represents my commitment to my patients to always remain on the forefront of the very latest in evidence-based care and treatment planning. Best of all, this board re-certification lasts for the next 10 years and I cannot wait to continue providing you with world-class care!

2023 has also brought lots of excitement to our practice in terms of new cutting edge treatment plans to offer you! Specifically, we now have the brand-new Straumann BLX & TLX implants that allow us to access areas of the upper and lower jaw where we were previously unable to place dental implants due to a lack of available bone. Because these new implants require much less bone in your jaw to form a healthy, permanent implanted tooth, areas we may have previously discussed as being difficult may now be amenable to placement of a dental implant thanks to this new technology!

We also just received our brand new Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment system for improved healing outcomes at bone graft sites using your own body’s regenerative growth factors with just a few drops of your own blood! While I have long offered PRP as a treatment modality to improve many of my patients’ care when indicated, this new state-of-the-art system allows me to deliver growth factor-rich PRP like never before.

Lastly, 2023 allowed our practice the opportunity to continue providing you with our signature concierge level of personalized care! We are always here for you (as well as your friends and family- we are always accepting new patients!) at our beautiful office overlooking the intercoastal waterway.
